Additional Information

The Bridge is a Community Anchor based near the Leisure Centre in Harrow. It is a Community Hub which provides a core therapeutic programme, with key workers who work in partnership with service users to identify their needs, develop a care plan, work towards goals and review progress. It facilitates the provision of satellite services, some peer led, some led by other organisations which provide additional vital services. The existence of the Community Anchor has led to services developing organically and providing a web of support which helps avoid the isolation which can lead to a cycle of illness. These services support people with enduring mental health problems to build sustainable coping strategies, break social isolation, and promote social inclusion through meaningful activities that build networks and training that may lead to employment. #SaveTheBridge project is about rescuing a vital service from closure, retaining the key workers and the continuity of support and using the assets to develop an income stream which will make the service self-financing and sustainable.
